Riding Gloves
RIDING GLOVES
Your riding gloves need to be non-slip, all the more so in wet weather. Some riding gloves have pimples on the palms to achieve this.
It is a good idea to wear suitable gloves when leading your horse, in case he pulls on the lead rope, which can be painful for your hands.
Riding gloves are best cleaned while you are wearing them, so that you can ensure that dirt is removed from their entire surface.
Many people wear dark rather than white gloves when competing in shows. Dark gloves draw less attention to the movement of your hands.
When picking out your horse's hooves, remove your gloves. As well as being easier to work, you will also be more able to detect any heat build-up in your horse's feet and legs.
